Kuting's Kitchen Trip - Tuna with Tokwa in Oyster Sauce

You will get to read how I interpret simple recipes and blow by blow accounts of what's happening in "Kuting's Kitchen Trip"!

Tuna with Tokwa in Oyster Sauce
(sa totoo lang, inisip ko lang 'to =)

2 slices of tokwa
1 can of Century Tuna in oil
1 pc onion, chopped
1 1/2 spoons of oyster sauce

1. Fry the tokwa. It is best to slice it into thin pieces to lessen fying time. Drain and set aside.

2. Separate the tuna and the tuna oil.

3. In another pan, saute onion. Add the tuna. Saute some more =)

4. Add some of the tuna oil just to make the tuna a little moist.

5. Stir in the oyter sauce.

6. After stirring, add the tokwa. Stir some more =)

Comments:

Tadaah!!! A healthy dish - and cheap too!

Lessons Learned:

Do not put the tokwa in the freezer. Place it in the chiller so that you don't have to thaw it come cooking time. =)

Pizza Hut (SM North Edsa)

Mga Inorder:

1. Bbq Spareribs - Manamis-namis.

Via Mare Oyster Bar (Gbelt 3)

Mga Inorder:

Salpicado - The meat is very juicy and tender. The lumpia is tasty and the taste of the bean sprouts (toge) is not very strong (in a good way!). Yummy!

Overall rating: The food is delicious but expensive. The only reason why I was able to sample the dish above is that I had a lunch meeting with my boss and managers in Via Mare and my boss paid for our lunch (isn't she the best?!). It seems like Via Mare is becoming the official venue of our meetings (we also held our last lunch meeting here). I can't wait for our next meeting!

Sugar House (Glorietta)

Mga Inorder:

1. Callos – Malinamnam.

2. Four Seasons – Tamang tama ang timpla. Natural na natural ang dating sa panlasa.

Over-all rating: Babalik-balikan!

Pancake House (Gbelt 1)

Mga Inorder:

1. Almondigas – in common terms, miswa with bola bola. The taste is not so strong (meaning hindi naman maalat, at hindi naman masarap na masarap he he he).

2. House Iced Tea – parang lemon na C2! Hindi siya lasang Lipton..

3. Steamed Chicken in Pandan – one of my favorite dishes sa Pancake. The chicken is tender and I really love the combination of ginger and chicken! The “sauce” (ano ba English ng “sawsawan”?) is made of lemon and something – simply delicious!

Over-all Rating:

He he he....

Balik sa rating – you will definitely love these dishes!
