#yanadiningsolo @ Ooma, Bonifacio High Street Central

Naintriga ako dahil ang dami lagi kumaikain dito. Kaya noong mapadaan ako dito at may time pang kumain bago pumasok sa office, eto ang aking inorder:

Miso Soup
- isa lang masasabi ko - maalat

Taco Maki Mixers (soft shell crab, california, spicy tuna)
- kakaiba ang presentation.  masarap pero yung tipong di mo hahanapin ulit

Overall, ok lang.   Limited ang items sa menu di tulad sa all time favorite Watami.  Pwede pang subukan ulit, ibang items naman.

Kung hanap ay:
- affordable
- quick thai fix
- masarap :)

#yanadiningsolo @ Army Navy

Yehey, may bago akong post.  Ibig sabihin, bihira ako ng dine ng solo.  Bakit? Kasi, ang gastos ko lately.  Lagi nag aaya boss ko mag dinner sa Uptown, vs homemade baon lang.  Anyway, ginutom kasi ako habang nage errands. Sa Army Navy, Vista Mall Taguig ako napadpad.  Here's my fave meal in this joint:

Naked Chicken Burrito  (Php225)
Mas ok ito para sa akin kasi ang hirap kainin ng usual wrapped burrito.  

At dahil tipid mode, yan lang kinain ko. Sobrang filling din kaya busog na busog ako hehe

Paradise Dynasty @ SM Aura

There's a new restaurant in SM Aura! Finally, the much awaited colorful xiao long bao is in BGC!  We've been seeing the big tarp covering the place which used to be Ikkoryu Fukuoka (also a favorite) for quite a while that we wondered if it will really open.

Now, the orders:

Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (8 flavors)
- the flavors are very interesting as each has a distinct taste.  bibi and I shared this.  He ate the odd numbered and I did the even. Hehe.  We will switch next time :)

Here is the guide on how to eat the 8 flavors.  We used this as basis for our sharing :)

Stir Fried Beef with Kailan
- the beed is very tender.  The kailan is a little bitter but we think that it is its natural taste, like pechay

Yang Zhou Fried Rice
- this one can be a stand alone meal with its generous heapings of shrimp and egg

Chilled Tofu with Century Egg
- we were supposed to order jellyfish but it was out of stock.  we ordered this taho tasting appetizer.  The sauce is similar to mapo tofu but not spicy.  It could use more century egg unless bibi ate a lot without me noticing :)

There are still a lot of choices in the menu that we want to try.  It is on the expensive side, though.  But definitely, we will go back!

#yanadiningsolo @ Tim Howan

Bigla ko lang naiisip habang kumakaing mag isa sa Tim Howan, Uptown, magpost ako ng pics of what I eat when dining solo. Actually, matagal ko na syang ginagawa, simula nung nagstart ako magwork dahil mahilig akong gumimik mag-isa (hello introvert).  Pero ngayon ko lang naisip gawin syang regular labelled post, with matching hashtag (nagmimillenial).  Haha.  Walang magawa.  Happy that my work hours allow me to have this short but sweet time to myself.  Need din naman talaga yung ng mga working moms.  Wag lang madalas kasi magastos hahaha.

== > congee with lean pork century egg and salted egg (Php148)

sosyal na lugaw.  comfort food ko talaga ito simula bata pa ako.  lalo na nung college kasi Php15 lang yung plain lugaw sa Vinzons Hall, UP Diliman.  Swak sa budget nung mga panahon na yun.  In fairness, love ko to because of the century egg and di nakakaumay yung congee itself.

sosyal na tokwa hahaha.  i still love eating my old favorites na mumurahin noon, pinasosyal at pinamahal ngayon :)  Inorder ko ito kasi di ba, bagay ang lugaw at tokwa?   Part sya ng Chef's Special at limited time lang ang availability.  Tingnan natin hanggang kelan ito limited.  Ok yung twist kasi nasa ibabaw talaga ng each tofu cube yung gulay.  Maiba naman.  Fried man yung tofu, di siya mamantika.

Tokyo Tokyo, Greenbelt

Matagal na kong huling nakakain sa Tokyo Tokyo, siguro isang dekada na. Dahil na stress ako (naiwan ko yung credit card ko sa National Bookstore Greenbelt ng tanghali, gabi na ng mapansin ko sa bahay) at gutom, napakain ako sa Tokyo Tokyo sa Greenbelt din. Gusto ko kasi ng light lang at bago sa panlasa kaya inorder ko ay Black Garlic Ramen with karaage at red iced tea.

 

Ang verdict: namnam ang ramen! Kakaiba sa usual ramen na nakakain ko siguro dahil ngayon lang ako nakatikim ng black garlic flavor.  Yung karaage, no-no :( ang alat eh. Yung red iced tea, classic na talaga, namnam din.

Flashback : nung first job ko sa isang big auditing firm, halos 19 years ago (yes ang tanda ko na), dinala kami ng mga seniors namin sa Tokyo Tokyo sa Greenbelt. Nakalocate siya sa Steel Parking ngayon na tabi ng McDo (McDo na sya nun). Awkward kasi sosi levels na sa amin yun. Kung McDo nga, bagong sweldo levels, Tokyo Tokyo pa. First time kong makakita ng chopsticks in real life at amazed na amazed ako sa california maki! Wala pang masyadong kainan nun sa Greenbelt 1. May Fairmart (not sure sa name) pa nun tsaka bowlingan sa lugar na yun. Hay. Those were the days...
